Why Our Unflavoured Electrolytes Are Becoming Unflavoured Electrolytes+
The short version: Our Unflavoured Electrolytes are being renamed Unflavoured Electrolytes+. Nothing inside the tub has changed. The formula is exactly the same; we're simply updating the name so it matches the rest of our electrolyte range.
A quick bit of history
A couple of years ago, our electrolyte range was simple. Every flavour, including Unflavoured, was part of our Electrolytes+ range.
At the time, all of our Electrolytes+ contained Astaxanthin alongside our electrolyte blend.
While many customers enjoyed the flavoured versions, Astaxanthin naturally has a distinctive taste. In the Unflavoured version, that taste was much more noticeable, and some customers found it wasn't to their liking.
To give customers a truly neutral option, we introduced a separate product: Unflavoured Electrolytes.
Our 2026 reformulation
Earlier this year, we completed a major update to our electrolyte range.
Astaxanthin was removed from all flavours, creating a cleaner, fresher taste across the board.
At the same time, every product continued to include our Aquamin-derived trace minerals, which remain one of the features that make our Electrolytes+ range special.
The flavoured products therefore remained Electrolytes+.
However, because we still had a good amount of existing Unflavoured stock and packaging, that product continued to be sold simply as Unflavoured Electrolytes, even though its formula had effectively become an Electrolytes+ formula.
So what's changing?
Simply the name.
Our current Unflavoured Electrolytes already contain the same Aquamin-derived trace minerals that qualify the rest of the range as Electrolytes+.
We're therefore updating the branding to Unflavoured Electrolytes+, so the entire range is named consistently.
Has anything changed inside?
No.
The formula remains exactly the same as the current Unflavoured Electrolytes you've been buying.
- The same electrolyte profile.
- The same Aquamin-derived trace minerals.
- The same completely unflavoured experience.
- No Astaxanthin.
Only the name and the label is changing.
Why make the change?
Keeping the naming consistent makes it much easier for customers to understand the range.
Whether you choose a flavoured tub or Unflavoured, you're now getting an Electrolytes+ product, with the same premium mineral philosophy across the entire collection.
The new name simply reflects what has already been true since our reformulation.
So, if you see Unflavoured Electrolytes+ on our website or receive a tub with the updated label, you can be confident you're getting exactly the same product as before. The formula hasn't changed – only the name has.
